A completed entry form and $30 entry fee in cash or check (from a U.S. bank) or money order (in U.S. dollars) must accompany each category submission and MUST arrive at the San Diego Film Commission Office by the deadline - not postmarked. DVDs only accepted.

What your $30 entry fee gets you: 1) Judges' comments and scores; and, 2) A pass to any one screening session at BestFest America. If your entry is an Official Selection to BestFest America 2008: you will introduce your film and screen it in its entirety on the BIG screen; you will receive a Filmmakers' Pass to all screenings and events; you will have access to the Filmmakers' Lounge; and, You will receive an award during our Closing Night Ceremonies on Sunday, August 17, 2008.

Animation ... wow the audience with your creations (10 mins. max)
Commercials ... "Sell it" with a 30 or 60-second commercials
Comedy ... Make your audience laugh (25 mins. max.)
Drama ... Involve your audience with your storytelling (25 mins. max.)
Documentary ... Enlighten and entertain your audience (25 mins. max.)
Experimental ... Move your audience with images and sound (10 mins. max.)
Horror/Thriller ... Take your audience for the ride of their lives (25 mins. max.)
Music Video ... Let your images emote or tell a story to a beat (5 mins. max.)
